Youth Renewal Fund was established in 1989 to provide supplemental education to underprivileged children in Israel.
The Israeli school system is plagued by a shortage of qualified teachers, minimal instruction hours, inadequate facilities, over-crowded classrooms and budget cuts. Students from low-income homes are particularly vulnerable to these deficiencies and do not receive the quality of education they need to break the poverty cycle.
YRF projects fill an immediate need in low-income communities by teaching core academic subjects, enhancing critical reasoning skills, exposing students to technological innovation, and providing a strong network of support.
At the same time, YRF's groundbreaking Teacher Professional Development Program provides a long-term solution to Israel's education crisis by giving teachers the tools and skills they need to help improve the outcomes for all students.
Through our programs, entire communities are benefiting and becoming stronger, more viable contributors to Israel's future.
Contributions from YRF's Board of Directors cover all overhead and fundraising expenses, ensuring that all additional funds raised go directly to programs in Israel.
